Paul Pogba Praises Jadon Sancho’s Impressive Start at Chelsea After Assisting in 3-0 Win Over West Ham
Jadon Sancho’s promising start at Chelsea has caught the attention of former Manchester United teammate Paul Pogba.
While United struggled in a goalless draw against Crystal Palace, Sancho shined in Chelsea’s 3-0 win over West Ham United, making his first Premier League start for the Blues and assisting Nicolas Jackson’s opening goal.
Sancho’s quick pass set up Jackson to score in just the fourth minute, and the winger remained lively throughout the match.
Pogba, who played alongside Sancho at United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, reacted to Sancho’s Instagram post, praising him with a simple comment: “Him.”
Sancho has impressed since joining Chelsea, contributing two assists in two league appearances, including one on his debut against Bournemouth, where he set up Christopher Nkunku’s late winner.
Remarkably, Sancho now has nearly matched his assist tally from his entire first season at United in just two games for Chelsea.
Sancho joined Chelsea on loan during the summer transfer window, and the Blues have an obligation to make the deal permanent if they finish 14th or higher in the Premier League.
With that clause in place, a return to Old Trafford for Sancho seems unlikely. Fans hope United’s decision to let Sancho go doesn’t become a costly mistake, similar to Pogba’s departure in 2012.
