Levi Colwill Praises Cole Palmer’s Scary Potential and Thanks Enzo Maresca for Chelsea Success
Levi Colwill has expressed admiration for Cole Palmer, predicting that the Chelsea forward has the potential to reach even higher levels despite his impressive start in West London.
Palmer, who joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2023, had an outstanding debut season, scoring 25 goals and providing 15 assists in 45 appearances.
He also made it into the England squad, where he scored in the Euro 2024 final against Spain.
Palmer has carried this form into the new season, scoring six goals and providing four assists in eight matches under Enzo Maresca’s management, including a remarkable four-goal performance in Chelsea’s 4-2 win over Brighton.
Colwill noted that Palmer’s ability to turn half-chances into goals makes him a special player, and there is still room for him to grow, which Colwill finds “scary.”
Colwill also credited Maresca for his own improvement, thanking the Chelsea manager for instilling confidence in him and allowing him to play a key role in the team’s build-up play from the back.
Colwill acknowledged that Maresca’s trust and encouragement have been crucial to his strong form this season.
