Christopher Nkunku’s Future at Chelsea in Doubt? Star Responds to PSG Links
Christopher Nkunku has addressed speculation about a possible return to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) while on international duty with France.\
In an interview with Telefoot, Nkunku downplayed the rumors, saying, “PSG remains a big club, but there has not been one approach.” His focus remains firmly on Chelsea, where he’s currently under a six-year contract after his move from RB Leipzig for £52 million.
Despite a challenging first season at Chelsea due to injuries, Nkunku has bounced back strongly this season.
He’s been in great form, scoring seven goals in 11 games across all competitions, which has given Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca a valuable attacking option alongside Nicolas Jackson.
Maresca has praised both Nkunku and Jackson for their performances, not just for their goal-scoring abilities but also for their hard work and contributions to the team.
While Jackson has mostly been preferred as the starting striker, Nkunku’s performances suggest he’ll continue to play a crucial role for Chelsea.
The competition between the two forwards is seen as a positive problem for Maresca as he looks to lead Chelsea back into the Champions League and aim for success in the Conference League.
Chelsea will return to action after the international break with a key match against Liverpool at Anfield. The Blues have had a solid start to the season, losing only two matches in all competitions so far.
