Arsenal Alter Pre-Season Plans Amid International Tournaments
Arsenal has adjusted their pre-season plans accordingly. Instead of traveling to Germany for their traditional friendly in Nurnberg, they will focus on training at their Sobha Realty Training Centre in North London.
This decision comes as players are granted extended breaks following the conclusion of the season and during ongoing international tournaments like the Copa America and European Championships.
In recent years, Arsenal has utilized the Adidas training center in Germany for pre-season preparations, particularly ahead of their US tours. However, with international tournaments affecting player availability, the club has opted to remain in London for training before heading to the United States.
During their US tour, Arsenal is scheduled to face Manchester United on July 28 at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, followed by a match against Liverpool at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on August 1. Players participating in the Euros and Copa America will integrate into the squad at different times, with those involved in the latter tournament having the option to take their breaks in the States to minimize travel.
Additionally, Arsenal will not participate in this year’s Community Shield due to Manchester United’s FA Cup victory, altering their pre-season schedule compared to previous years.
