Arsenal Eyeing Four New Signings Before Transfer Window Closes—Big Moves Incoming
Arsenal could potentially add up to three more players to their squad before the summer transfer window closes. With just five days remaining, the urgency to finalize new signings is high.
The Gunners have already secured the permanent return of David Raya and signed Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna. Although Mikel Arteta has been reserved about discussing further additions, it’s likely more players will join the team soon.
Arsenal is reportedly close to signing Mikel Merino, who is said to have completed a medical in North London over the weekend. The club has agreed to pay Real Sociedad around £32 million for the midfielder, and his official unveiling is expected soon.
Additionally, Arsenal might need a new goalkeeper if Aaron Ramsdale goes out on loan, with Wolves showing interest. Espanyol’s Joan Garcia, who recently won Olympic gold with Spain, has emerged as a potential target. Personal terms are reportedly agreed upon, but the move depends on Ramsdale’s situation.
The Gunners are also considering adding another forward to strengthen their attack for the upcoming Premier League title race. They have been linked with Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams, although he seems inclined to stay in Spain. Ademola Lookman is another potential target, and a part-exchange deal involving Jakub Kiwior could help reduce Atalanta’s asking price.
Arsenal has also shown interest in Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who is highly sought after by Chelsea as well. Although his release clause is around £110 million, Napoli may consider bids closer to £84 million, which could make the deal feasible for Arsenal.
