Kylian Mbappé Under Investigation in Sweden Following R*pe Allegation
Kylian Mbappé is currently under investigation by Swedish police following a rape allegation made during his recent trip to Stockholm.
The allegation reportedly stems from an incident on October 10th, with the complaint lodged two days later.
Police spokesperson Daniel Wikdahl confirmed that the case is now with a prosecutor, stating, “I will not comment further but rather refer to the prosecutor’s office.”
Mbappé’s representatives have firmly denied the allegations, claiming they are unaware of any formal accusations against him.
His lawyer, Marie-Alix Canu-Bernard, emphasized that a complaint does not equate to guilt, and expressed uncertainty about the specifics of the complaint.
She asserted that Mbappé typically avoids situations that could lead to any wrongdoing and is shocked by the surrounding media attention.

Canu-Bernard noted that if the investigation does involve Mbappé, he is prepared to cooperate, highlighting his confidence in his innocence. “He’s staying calm, but he’s completely shocked by the media frenzy,” she said, adding that he participated in training as he has “nothing to hide.”
The investigation categorizes the allegations as involving “reasonable suspicion” of sexual assault, which is regarded as a lower-level charge within the Swedish legal framework. Both Mbappé and the complainant are expected to be questioned as the investigation progresses.
